A day of Alaska halibut fishing or salmon fishing can easily be added as an addition to any Alaska hunting trip or family summer Alaska vacation. Rod Van Saun is proven as one of the most experienced and hardest working halibut and salmon charter captains on Cook Inlet. You will fish on a Coast Guard licensed, insured, safety inspected, comfortable 26' Koffler deep sea fishing boat. High quality tackle and bait are provided on all trips. We will help you make arrangements for packaging and shipping of your fish. Alaska halibut and salmon are known world wide for their excellent taste.
We do our halibut fishing in depths from 40 to 250 feet. Our king salmon fishing is done by trolling the shoreline when they are running in May. We are a small charter service, so we are able to provide much personal service to each of our clients on there Alaska fishing trip adventure. No salt water fishing experience is needed for these fun Alaska fishing trips. Rod has over 15 years experience and provides detailed easy to follow instructions on rod handling, hook setting and landing. Rod's goal is that everyone has a great day of Alaska fishing.
Rod is an IGFA Representative and member of Tournament Anglers Association, National Association of Charter boat Operators, and the Deep Creek Charter Boat Association. He is also a year round resident of Ninilchik, Alaska where he is very involved in the community.
